After Melanoma Cancer And My Welfare During The Corona Virus Outbreak
On Monday 2nd of March 2020 I went to the Radiology Surgery for my MRI scan at 5 o’clock.
I had to go to the Diagnostics Building for the CT Chest/Abdo/Pelvis.
When I left the hospital I felt really tired mostly due to the stress of going for the scan, I got home around 7 o’clock that night.
The following morning I went back to work, All that was on my mind was the scans results. They said it will be about a week until the results will be back.
About 5 days later the Corona virus pandemic hit the UK. I was still nervously waiting for my results and still at work. I was called into the office about the corona virus and my welfare.
The company decided to send me home to be isolated due to my medical conditions as I am high risk.
Three days later I was home isolating and still worrying about my scan results when I had a phone call from Churchill Hospital saying that all appointments have been cancelled due to the corona virus outbreak,
They give me the results over the telephone, it was good news the MRI scans on my brain tumor is stable and the CT scan is showing no sign of MELANOMA. It was a big relief getting this news.
My next scans are due in four months time.
I hope my posts help you out, I’m trying to show what it’s like living with melanoma cancer. If you have any questions please comment below.
