Getting Anxious About My CT Scan Results – 2021

Getting Anxious About My CT Scan Results

Two weeks later I was feeling a lot better. I could swallow again and I started to eat solid food and hot drinks. I was then waiting for an appointment at Horton General Hospital, for a CT scan. I drove down for my appointment to the hospital, I was trying to find a parking space for 20 minutes until I located one. Then I was trying to find the CT department, I had to ask a nurse to point me in the right direction. She was very helpful and walk with me, to show me where I had to go. I arrived to the Mobile CT Unit and the nurses welcomed me in, they were all very kind, and I had the scan. Then I left the hospital and returned home.

A week later I was getting anxious about my results, so I called Churchill Hospital to ask my consultant to find out if the CT scan results were processed, she said no. I left it for one more week than I called again,  I spoke to my consultant and she said the CT scan results were in, and it was good news.

The tumour near my spine was stable and I will be having another scan in May to see if the tumour is shrinking.
